Akshay Kumar Files Rs 500cr Defamation Suit Against Youtuber
The YouTuber reportedly earned over Rs 15 lakh for spreading fake news on his YouTube channel. He also used Akshay Kumar’s name and alleged that the actor helped Rhea Chakraborty escape to Canada.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has served a Rs 500-crore defamation suit against a YouTuber named Rashid Siddiqui, who brought up his name in the Sushant Singh Rajput case while spreading fake news.
Who is Rashid Siddiqui?
Rashid Siddiqui is a YouTuber from Bihar known for making news videos on social media. Siddiqui was earlier arrested for spreading fake news and dragging the name of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son, minister Aditya Thackeray.
Rashid Siddiqui has been accused of running hate campaigns by publishing fake stories regarding the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Investigations have reportedly revealed that Siddiqui earned over Rs 15 lakhs from his content in four months. Advocate Dharmendra Mishra of the Shiv Sena’s legal cell had filed a case against Siddiqui, who owns the channel ‘FF News’.
Actor Akshay Kumar has served a defamation notice to a YouTuber from Bihar, seeking Rs 500 crore in damages for making “false and baseless allegations” against him in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The Bollywood superstar has sought an apology from the YouTuber Rashid Siddiqui, who has been booked by the Mumbai police in a separate defamation case, and also removal of objectionable videos from his channel.

Siddiqui’s earnings were mere Rs 296 in the month of May and in September, he earned a whopping Rs 6,50,898 with his videos. The court granted him anticipatory bail and asked him to cooperate with the police in the investigation.
