Cricket is the only thing that happened well in 2020. Well, the good news is, the festival of cricket IPL Indian Premier League 2021 is back again. Yes, you read it right, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is scheduled to begin in Chennai from April 9. The Mumbai Indians will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. The major games and the final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The tournament will be played across six cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. All matches will be played at neutral venues. Each team will play at only four out of the six venues during the league stage.

If we talk about the IPL auction, South African all-rounder Chris Morris made headlines by becoming IPL’s most expensive buy of all time. Morris was fetched by Rajasthan Royals for a mammoth Rs. 16.25 crore. Apart from Morris,  Krishnappa Gowtham became the highest uncapped Indian buy of all time. He was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 9.25 crore.
