Residents Hear ‘Mysterious Loud Noise’ In Many Parts Of Bengaluru

Heard a loud ‘boom’ in Bengaluru? Officials are investigating what it was.

2020 is the worst, repeat after me 2020 is the worst. First Covid19 then earthquake then Cyclone Amphan and now massive explosion sound in areas of Bangalore.

Today 20th May 2020 around 1:25 PM people of Bengaluru heard massive explosion sound in around half of the Bangalore and it turned out be a mystery. According to initial information, a loud boom was heard by the residents of Sarjapur, HSR Layout, Whitefield, MG Road, Kalya Nagar and Hebbal.

Soon after the incident, scientists from Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Center (KSNDMC) informed Bangalore Mirror that it was not an earthquake.

 “The activity reported in Bengaluru is not due to an earthquake. The seismometers did not capture any ground vibration as generally happens during a mild Tremor. The activity is purely a loud unknown noise,” the agency tweeted.

“We have 12 seismic monitoring centres in Karnataka but none have reported any seismic activity,” Manoj Rajan, director of  Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority, told news agency PTI.
